Countdown

 
Countdown to New Year 2012 in Pattaya
The countdown to the New Year 2012 is now well underway. With the Christmas holiday
period over, and all the turkey and goodies having been digested, we all have one more
worldwide celebration to look forward to with the welcoming in of the New Year 2012.
Here in Pattaya, the occasion promises to be bigger and better than ever with an
extravaganza of entertainment planned by City Hall and the private business sector.
Especially with the economy seemingly having picked up amazingly, we are now seeing
fully booked hotels, restaurants and shopping malls filled with tourists, enjoying the free
seasonal illuminations adorning the shops. People are flocking into the stores taking
advantage of the many promotions being held in places such as Central Festival Pattaya
Beach Mall, the biggest seaside shopping mall in South East Asia, where hundreds of
products from the shops in the massive store are handed out in a lucky draw.Items such
as Ipods and digital cameras were amongst the prizes. To add to the build up, a New
Year’s countdown ceremony was held at Bali Hai Pier on Christmas Day attended by
Chonburi Governor Mr. Komsan Ekachai, Pattaya Mayor Ittipol Khunplume, Chonburi MP
Region 7 Mr. Poramate Ngampichet and Secretary to the Ministry of Transport,
Mr. Chanyut Hengrakool. Absolutely everyone is invited to the Pattaya Count Down
2012, to be entertained by Rock Bands like Big Ass, Potato, Titanium, Kala, Bodyslam,
Klear, Joey Boy and many more, plus Look Toong Thai Country Style Music performances
from Yingyong Yodbuangaam and Apaporn Nakhonsawan.
